Fairfax County is my home, and I want to make sure everyone in the county has a home of their own. I have lived here since 2005 with my wife Julianna, a former Fairfax County public school teacher, and our five children. I have spent my career building affordable housing for our Fairfax County families. In 2010, I was appointed to the Board of the Virginia Housing and Development Authority (VHDA), and later rose to the position of Chairman in 2017 under Governor Terry McAuliffe. During my tenure as Chairman, the VDHA made it possible for thousands of moderate income Virginians to buy a home. The organization provided more than $19 million for down payments for first time home buyers, financed nearly 40,000 rental units across the state and provided more than $200 million to the REACH initiative, which helps provide shelter for the homeless and connect families with housing counselors. My experience in both the private and public sectors uniquely positions me to lead Fairfax County towards a brighter future. For everyone.
